Yasmin Kutty was admitted to practice law in Illinois in 1996, in New York in 1998, and in Texas in 2009. She has practiced law for over twenty-five years and has practiced family law in Texas for the last thirteen years. Yasmin Kutty handles divorces and other family law cases from inception through final trial on the merits. Attorney Kutty has litigated cases involving high-conflict custody matters and complex property division matters. She has years of experience handling cases for clients in need of a protective order due to domestic violence and has significant experience defending parties against protective order applications. Further, Yasmin Kutty has experience representing parents and children in Child Protective Services cases in family court involving the Department of Family and Protective Services.
Ms. Kutty graduated from Northwestern University, College of Arts and Sciences in 1992 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a major in Political Science. In addition, she graduated from Loyola University of Chicago School of Law in 1995.
In 2022, she was Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. There are roughly 852 Board Certified in the entire state of Texas as reported in 2023. The criteria to qualify to sit for the exam are extremely rigorous, and to then subsequently pass the exam is also very challenging. The certification represents a high degree of experience and knowledge, qualities Yasmin Kutty brings to the table.
