Denise Khoury is a compassionate and dedicated family law attorney with over 20 years of exclusive experience in family law practice. As the co-founder and principal attorney of a boutique family law firm in the fourth largest city in the United States, Denise has built her reputation on a foundation of understanding, empathy, and strategic advocacy. The firm’s motto, “Winning Through Understanding,” reflects her belief that the best outcomes arise from deeply comprehending her clients’ unique needs, values, and goals.

Denise’s practice is centered on guiding families through complex and emotionally charged legal matters, through litigation, mediation, and collaborative law. Her practice concentrates on high-conflict custody matters, non-parent custody rights, domestic and foreign property issues, multi-jurisdictional divorce, custody disputes, and partition of property, high-net-worth divorce cases, complex property division, business valuations involving closely held business interests, adoptions, gender-marker changes/name changes, protective orders, enforcements, appeals, and negotiations of pre- and post-marital agreements. She is known for her unwavering commitment to her clients and her ability to navigate even the most challenging cases with professionalism and poise. Denise is on the board of Collaborative Divorce Houston, the council of the State Bar of Texas Collaborative Law Section; is a member of the Family law sections of the Houston Bar Association, State Bar of Texas, and the American Bar Association, Collaborative Divorce Texas, the IACP – International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, and has been an active member of the Burta Rhoads Raborn Family Law Inns of Court.

In addition to her professional achievements, Denise strives to balance her career, the needs of her clients, and her love and devotion to her husband, three children, and one mini Bernadoodle. She is passionate about fostering a better understanding of mental health issues and compassion for those who face mental health challenges, both children and adults, and the impact those challenges have on families. She understands firsthand the struggles families encounter and uses her personal and professional experiences to connect deeply with her clients. Outside of the courtroom, she is a dedicated advocate for promoting understanding, security, and value in all relationships.

Yasmin Kutty

Yasmin Kutty was admitted to practice law in Illinois in 1996, in New York in 1998, and in Texas in 2009. She has practiced law for over twenty-five years and has practiced family law in Texas for the last thirteen years. Yasmin Kutty handles divorces and other family law cases from inception through final trial on the merits. Attorney Kutty has litigated cases involving high-conflict custody matters and complex property division matters. She has years of experience handling cases for clients in need of a protective order due to domestic violence and has significant experience defending parties against protective order applications. Further, Yasmin Kutty has experience representing parents and children in Child Protective Services cases in family court involving the Department of Family and Protective Services.

Ms. Kutty graduated from Northwestern University, College of Arts and Sciences in 1992 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a major in Political Science. In addition, she graduated from Loyola University of Chicago School of Law in 1995.

In 2022, she was Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. There are roughly 852 Board Certified in the entire state of Texas as reported in 2023. The criteria to qualify to sit for the exam are extremely rigorous, and to then subsequently pass the exam is also very challenging. The certification represents a high degree of experience and knowledge, qualities Yasmin Kutty brings to the table.
