“KGK Family Law partner Denise Khoury joined collaborative professionals from across Texas at Collaborative Divorce Texas’ Advanced Interdisciplinary Training in Dallas. As the 2026 Vice-President of Collaborative Divorce Houston, Denise participated alongside neutral financial professionals, mental health professionals, child specialists, and other collaboratively trained attorneys in an immersive examination of family law issues through the collaborative process.

This year’s program featured a comprehensive “case autopsy” of the fictional Landman Divorce, allowing participants to examine challenging family law issues through the collaborative lens. The training highlighted how interdisciplinary teams can help families resolve even high-conflict matters involving significant financial and family dynamics while preserving privacy, maintaining control over the outcome, and focusing on the long-term well-being of the family. The collaborative process recognizes that every family is unique and allows solutions to be tailored to each family’s financial, emotional, and parenting needs.
At KGK Family Law, we believe families deserve options. While litigation is sometimes necessary, many families benefit from a respectful, team-based approach that prioritizes transparency, creative problem-solving, and durable resolutions tailored to their specific circumstances. Because no two families are alike, collaborative teams work together to develop customized solutions that reflect each family’s unique financial circumstances, parenting relationships, and long-term goals.
